I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University in 1998. During my doctoral education, I had a wide variety of clinical experiences, including outpatient and inpatient addiction treatment, outpatient treatment for children and families, and individual psychotherapy with adolescents and adults.
I became licensed as a psychologist in California in 2001 and have been private practice since 2003. I work with adults and couples presenting with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, eating disturbance, relationship issues and addiction. Recently, I have broadened my existential/humanistic background in Psychology to incorporate my long standing interest in yoga and Eastern Psychology. I became a Certified Yoga Teacher in 2009 and am currently integrating mind-body techniques in my work with clients.
