Couples therapy assists you and your partner in understanding and taking responsibility for your individual roles in creating stress and conflict in your relationship.  By owning your own part, you are empowered to change yourself, not your partner.  In therapy, you and your partner will be coached on how to establish more loving, bonding rituals in your relationship and taught empathic listening skills, both of which enhance communication and connection.

I have experience helping couples heal from affairs.  I have also worked with couples struggling with the impact of addiction and mental illness on their relationship.  My experience working with children and families allows me to incorporate parenting issues in therapy, including issues unique to divorce and blended families.
